It’s December in LA and finally cooling off. But as usual, Userplane’s
lab is hot and there were exciting developments last month. Three things we’re
ready to share:
1. A new and improved Admin for Instant-Install administrators will launch
in December. Right away, it will introduce some high-demand features including
complete Userplane ID’s (photos and profiles) for administrator accounts,
and custom smileys. But most important is the new interface because it provides
the forward-looking platform we need for some dramatic features and upgrades
coming soon.
2. We have significantly upgraded our network infrastructure to power
our tremendous current and future growth. With more than five thousand new
Userplane communities blooming each week, we all definitely need it!
3. And last, as you can see… is the newsletter. As our user-base expands,
your need for Userplane information and feedback continues to diversify. The
goal of this redesign is to let us talk to the right people about the right
things each month. You will soon get a newsletter (or “update”)
that’s tailored to your specific Userplane interests – including
relevant monthly news + press, and a technology update for your unique
Userplane setup.

Userplane Maintenance 11/30/2005 @ 11:30PM PST
Userplane is doing a major upgrade of our network tomorrow night (11/30) from 11:30
PM PST through 1:00 AM PST the following day. During this hour and a half there will
be a brief period of downtime that will be kept to a minimum of 5-10 minutes.
Once this maintenance is complete we will be able to provide an even more stable and
scalable infrastructure to our clients.
