Userplane to Release Mediaplayer

Newest Application Supports Hosted Video Publishing and Ad Revenue Sharing, Seeks to Fill Void of VideoEgg’s Exit From Video Hosting

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (March 7, 2008) - Userplane, (www.userplane.com), the premier communication platform for online communities and a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL, today announced that they will be fast-tracking the release of Userplane Mediaplayer. Userplane’s newest white-label application, which supports video uploading, publishing and hosting, as well as ad revenue sharing, will immediately fill the void left by VideoEgg’s recent departure from the video hosting arena.

Mediaplayer complements the current Userplane suite of robust communications software applications that includes Webchat 2, Webmessenger 2 and Webrecorder. Publishers will have free and unlimited use of Mediaplayer’s video upload and playback capabilities, as well as the opportunity to participate in Userplane’s ad revenue sharing program.

“The release of Mediaplayer solidifies Userplane’s brand as a complete social networking platform solution,” said Michael Jones, CEO of Userplane and senior vice president of AOL. “We look forward to assisting VideoEgg customers who wish to work with Userplane in making a seamless and painless transition over to Mediaplayer.”

Mediaplayer’s built-in interactive player will feature video sharing, chat and discovery technology. Users will be able to upload video utilizing the Mediaplayer white-label uploader, and Web site administrators will have the ability to review and confirm content before publishing it. Former VideoEgg clients will be able to transfer their existing videos to Userplane’s centrally hosted platform. Current Videoegg clients can learn more about Mediaplayer and its release schedule by visiting http://www.userplane.com/mediaplayer.
