FAQs
Do I need to pay for each Userplane app that I want to use?
Our apps are priced as a package. Use as many or as few as you like!
Does it cost me extra to enable audio and/or video (A/V)?
Unlike many other solutions, A/V is included in the cost of your paid Userplane packages. If you choose the free Starter package, 50GB of bandwidth per month are included, so you can enable A/V. You will, however, be billed for each GB of bandwidth used over 50.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. Userplane service is month-to-month. There are no contracts (but see our Terms of Service here) or long-term commitments. Billing is monthly, and if you notify us of cancellation, you will not be billed again.
What’s the difference between my 45-day free trial and the Starter package?
When you sign up for a Userplane account, you are automatically enrolled in a 45-day free trial. During this trial period, you get the benefit of integrating our apps with unlimited connections and bandwidth, all in an ad-free environment. If, at the end of that 45-day period, you have not chosen a paid package, ads will be turned on and you will not be allowed connection spillover.
Can I remove the Userplane branding from my apps?
Absolutely. In fact, we encourage you to. We’ve always believed in the value your brand delivers to your users, and providing you with a white label product enables you to provide your users with a seamless experience on your site.
Will my Userplane apps have ads?
Selecting a paid package will enable you to remove the ad space, or serve your own ads if you’d like.
What is connection spillover?
Connection spillover (“Conn. Spillover” in the pricing table, above) refers to whether the number of simultaneous users on your site will be capped. If you choose a paid package, we will never prevent a user from being able to access one of our applications.
